Senior Data Modeler
As the Senior Data Modeler supporting Workplace Investments (WI), you blend deep data modeling knowledge and Data Architecture experience to build Data Models for multiple Key initiatives. You have a curiosity about coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your CoE, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions to help scale our business. You will guide a team of data modelers who primarily work within autonomous squads across product areas. You are committed to staying hands-on, developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role and to enable others with that knowledge. As a leader in the WI Data Modeling group, you will drive a spirit of innovation and data strategy by building and improving the data modeling and database design practice. You will work closely with the business and technical teams and build or assist in the creation of scalable, flexible, and detailed data models that will improve the WI product offerings and speed time to market.
The Team WI Data Engineering data modeling team partners with the project teams to deliver practical & resilient data model and database designs that meet business needs while adhering to key standard methodologies. We drive adoption of enterprise and standard methodologies, and promote changes in process, standards, or technologies when necessary.
Your Expertise
- Strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level
- Dimensional Modeling with experience in crafting conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units.
- Data Modeling Tool such as Powerdesigner, Oracle Designer or Erwin
- Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams
- Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL)
- General working knowledge of AI technologies, techniques, and trends

- Improve the overall analysis of business requirements and delivering well architected and efficient
- Assist in developing guidelines and standards for the design checklist, governance process and for cataloging and maintaining data repositories
- Bring industry thought leadership to WI Technology
- Mentor junior data modelers
